brainstorming
My initial idea for the company was to do with tea leaves as I had a pastel green colour stuck in my mind. Overall company idea is to do with a green energy focused plant/tea company called Open Leaf. The theming around the company coming from a leaf. This layout kept this in mind and colour palettes were researched ultimately deciding on a few hex codes to swap between. A mood board was also created including said palettes and drawing ideas from different leaves, realistic and animated, as well as previously established leaf based stationary.
Open Leaf Inspirattion
asset creation
Asset creation was done entirely in Illustrator to create crisp vector images. Roughs and Compositions were created in Illustrator as well to reduce the transfer of assets for unused designs. Small double leaf design ended up as the logo used both with and without text based on the scenario. To add further to the design, a curved leaf design was added to the envelope and letterhead to both eliminate some awkward white space and create metaphorical bounding boxes for elements.

conceptual and rough layouts
Six concept layouts were drafted for each side, excluding letterhead, of the stationary. From those six layouts, one was chosen for each and six rough drafts following the same overall style of the concept. The designs were looked over by 5-7 peers and votes were taken into account along with personal preference.
Open Leaf Rough Drafts
final layouts
From the 6 rough draft variations, a vote was once again taken and included into a personal opinion of the drafts. One of the drafts was chose to be the final layout, and the chosen layout was then polished and updated in Adobe InDesign to be ready for printing.
